Neuroplasticity
What is Neuroplasticity?
The discovery that our thoughts and actions can change the structure and function of our brains, even into old age, is perhaps the most important breakthrough in neuroscience in over 400 years. This ability of our brain to change and re-wire itself, as a result of what we do, is called “neuroplasticity.” It is our understanding of this remarkable and life-long ability that is driving a revolution in brain-based therapies.
Revolutionary Brain-Based Therapies
Perth Brain Centre (est. in 2007) is Western Australia’s longest established private clinic providing state-of-the-art brain-based therapies. Special brain scans, known as QEEG, are used to help understand how the brain is working. This unique information can be used to direct drug-free evidence-based, truly personalised and effective therapies that help by “re-training” or “re-wiring” the brain, harnessing its natural power to change known as Neuroplasticity.
